Excitement is mounting as the day of departure draws near. Most of the boys are still in school but only time will tell if everyone makes it to Heathrow on 8th July. Fingers crossed. We've got quite a challenge ahead of us, installing a pump, solar panels, water tank and plumbing to provide 20,000L of water a day if needs be for the orphanage and local community. Not forgetting the concreting, painting and guttering that we plan to do. We'll certainly all be kept busy.
All vaccinations done, all exams behind you and a long holiday awaiting!! I hope you are all as excited as I am to impove the living conditions of the children in The Good Hope Orphanage. Remember, you are in charge of making this a life changing experience. "Make memories" was my dad's advice when I left school and it works!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes from Harrow to all of you involved in this marvellous expedition,
